Well we are in our third week here in South Korea.  Time flys when you are having fun working!  I was hoping to have some pictures of the field ministry, but, where we went pictures are not allowed.  We went to a prison for foreigners.  The brother we were with has a study with a Nigerian man who was caught drug smuggling.  He requested a study with the brothers.  His name is Frank and he was very enthsiastic about reading the scriptures.  Every time we would get to one he would ask if he could read the scripture. The interesting thing about this study is that you only get 12 minutes for the study and they time you.  Once the timer is done the microphone stops. So, the whole time you study you have this clock counting down the minutes.  You get in say hello, open with prayer, start asking questions then conclude with prayer!  Frank says that when he gets down he thinks about the Paradise and what he has learned and he feels better. The nice thing is that after the study they allow you to write him a letter and you can leave him magazines.  So in the letter you are able to share more encouragement with him from the Bible.

They do a things a little different from us.  We meet once a month as a congregation and the rest of the time with our service groups.  They meet once a month with the service group and the rest of the time they meet as a congregation.  This is because their territory is large since they are considered a foreign language congregation.  So this Saturday we met with our service group.  After service they all have lunch together.  You will see some pictures of our gathering.  We also went to a gathering on Saturday evening at some friends home.  They Koreans are very generous and you feel very welcome in their home.  We also did some karaoke which was a lot of fun.

I included pictures of all the different types of work I have been doing.  They kind of use me as a floater.  So far, I have worked in the metal shop learning how to use a drill press & tac weld, HVAC learning how to insulate pipe and now in Retrofit working with concrete & assisting Jeon, Sang Hun add steel reinforcement plates to the concrete beams of the building.  Needless to say, I am learning a lot!

We hope everyone is doing well, we miss you all and pray everyday for Jehovah to watch over our loved ones back home.

Love to you all,
Bobby & Kim

Construction cafeteria which is great because we do not have to change before lunch. There is another one where the other Bethelites meet.

Lunch is Kimchi, red radish, rice, salad, etc.
Brother Kim, Hay Bong entertaining us after lunch.

Jeong, Sang Hun drilling holes thru the concrete pillar! I call him superman. Very hard work!

After the holes are drilled I clear the holes of dust so that the apoxy will adhere to the anchor bolt.

Its very dusty so you have to have a vacuum.

After drilling about six holes we can put up the beam support and allow the apoxy to dry over night.
Mixing concrete for floors with Andrew Struyf from Australia and "Cookie".
Before the retrofit dept I worked with HVAC insulating pipe.  The following is a job I did from start to finish.
This is the boiler room where I was insulating pipe.  It was very warm inside.

After service we went to lunch at the home of An, Jung-min & Kim, Hye-jin(sister).  The sisters do not take the last name of their husbands they keep their family name. They served about 15 of us total. The food was delicious!  It was our first home cooked meal outside of Bethel.

Traditional style

When taking pictures they all make these little funny hand jestures.  Sometimes its in the form of a heart.  Too cute.  Lyanne(Leann) & Hi-Young

Their refrigerators all have these cool covers.  All different colors and styles.

The apartments are very efficient.  This is their back patio area.

This was our gathering Saturday evening.  The boys were trying to keep the pit dry.
Our hosts, The Kim's, used to be Bethelites.  They had to leave because she unexpectantly became pregnate with Han Bi.

Han Bi does karaoke.  She knows all the words to the song.  I have never seen such a large selection of karaoke songs in my life!
These are the scriptures that Han Bi's parents are teaching her.  She can recite these by heart along with quite a few Kingdom songs.  Very impressive.  (see if you recognize the scriptures)
We had grilled pork, kimchi, cole slaw, rice and grilled cabbage which was very good.
Even the guys joined in the Karaoke fun.
